The project was awarded as a result of winning an international urban and architectural competition. The proposed development is intended to be in harmony with the traditional and historic context while accommodating future growth. The master plan proposes to complete the urban fabric through a series of infil projects and provides an integrated system of landscaped plazas and public gardens within the urban fabric. Scope of work includes the study of existing status of Sidon Sea Front (5 Km long) and the old city, as well as preparing a new master plan for the whole area (4km2) with typical architectural design typology for the five pilot projects across the old city of Sidon.
