Spread over a site area of 116,000 m2, the project was awarded as
a result of winning the first prize in an international architectural
competition. The scope of work includes:
1- Architectural Design for various components including public
reception, directorate, seminar center, auditorium, school, library,
restaurant, VIP Majlis, and exhibition galleries for outstanding
collections of Islamic art, as well as a didactic and temporary
exhibition galleries.
2- Interior Design for all functions (Exhibition Design by Event
Communications, UK).
3- Urban Design of the site area, with particular reference to the
need for a connection between the proposed museum and the nearby
National Museum.
4- Landscaping of the site.
